Takesi Trail Tours Bolivia

Takesi Trail Tours Bolivia

Takesi is the ideal journey to start discovering these trails in a slow and progressive way, including Bolivia’s history and ecological wealth.

This is one of the Inca trails, part of a road system that goes into the valleys (Yungas) of what is now the department of La Paz.

It is a beautiful journey in which we are able to see the most diverse landscapes. This extensive road system facilitated the exchange of tropical products with high plateau products. It was there, in the high plateau, where the great local cultures were located.

Along the charming paths, we will discover several Inca ruins and some of other cultures surrounded by exuberant vegetation, which calls to the mind El Dorado.

The trail is located between Murillo (Ventilla) and Sud Yungas (Mina Chojlla) provinces, covering about 50 km. Takesi’s old route was much longer, but today many stretches have been lost due to the lack of preservation or because the undergrowth has swallowed them.
